How I love winter and the weather it brings. Warm mittens and scarves. Woolen socks. Hot cocoa, tea or even a latte. Snow days (NOT YET!). Watching the flakes fall. Staying inside wrapped up in an afghan (crocheted by Mom, of course!). Catching up on all the DVRed shows and movies. Reading a good book or two or three. Cat naps.

Oh, how I long for a snow day! I know it is early, but I crave the excitement of a completely unplanned day off. I think admin should plan in two days off and not tell us when they would be. One should be in November and the other in May. Just a random mental health for the good of the staff day.
I totally agree with you! We have 1/2 days on Monday and Tuesday with parent conferences in the afternoon (yes, even at the high school level). Then I have Wednesday off because I'm staying late Monday and Tuesday. I love it!
I am not wishing for a snow day just yet, but we might have one in December the way the forecast is looking long term.
